Sunday Update 7/6
Happy Sunday Sea Lions! We hope everyone had a fun July 4th!! We have less than two weeks left! Crazy how quickly it goes! See below for this week's schedule and some end-of-season info.
SCHEDULE
Reminder Parents: Pool rules are children 10 and younger must have a guardian at the pool at all times.
Monday: Morning and Afternoon practices
Pasta Pump-Up - Please see link below for Signups:
Tuesday: AM practice; Craft after 10 & under practice: This craft will be our CCM costumes described in a previous email.
Away Swim Meet against Apex Breakers (Detailed meet Info will be sent tomorrow in the Monday Meet Memo) Meet theme this week is Christmas in July!
Wednesday: Stroke Clinics @ 7-10 & 11 and Up Afternoon Practices & Sea Pups only from 6pm-6:30pm.
Thursday: AM and PM practice
Friday: AM practice only; No PM practices
Saturday: No Practices. Cary Cit Meet at Cary Swim Club; More details to come out this week!
DECLARE SWIMMER FOR MEET
Please declare your swimmer for the swim meet by 11:59 pm tonight, Sunday. Follow these instructions to declare if your swimmer will swim:
1. Log into your family account at shrcsealions.swimtopia.com.
2. Go to Meets & Events > Sign Up Calendar
3. Click on the green button with a "?" mark that says Meet Entry Open.
4. Under each swimmer click on the drop-down box that says "undeclared" and choose "attending this meet" or "not attending this meet". You will also be asked about relays for each swimmer. Relays occur at the beginning and the end of the meet.
Any changes after Sunday night need to be sent to [email protected] and [email protected]
COACH APPRECIATION GIFT & DINNER
Our coaches work so hard every season with all our swimmers (we have over 230 including Sea Pups this season!). To show our appreciation we give each one of them a gift (typically a gift card) at Awards Night. If you would like to contribute, you can either give cash to Ashley and Tami or via Venmo:
- Venmo Information: @Ashley-Thayer-13 (the last 4-digits of my phone number are 9407 if prompted).
- Deadline for contributions: July 15th
Our other way of saying "Thanks" is we host a dinner for the coaches. This dinner will be on Thursday, July 17th in the screened porch at the pool before our awards ceremony. We are working on gathering pictures for our end of the season slide show. Please email pictures to Kristen Geyer at [email protected]. You can also share a digital album with her at that address. Deadline for photos is 8am on Wednesday, 7/16.
