Info for Visiting Teams

Located off of Cary Parkway - between Lake Pine Dr and Old Apex Rd
Parking: Our pool parking area is made fully available to you as our visitors but is limited in size. There is a Park across the street that has generous parking available, and we also use street parking on Tarbert Dr, the same side that the pool is located. Below, you will find a map that shows the pool, and surrounding area, with parking defined by blue marks - Orange marks indicate NO PARKING.
The pool deck is reserved for your team. Chairs are limited so we encourage you to bring portable seats/ folding chairs. Please feel free to also bring tents for your swimmers, given limited shade. In the file provided, all areas in green are available to your team and families. Yellow areas are walkways, and red areas are for meet officials/coaches/starting blocks. You will organize and load your swimmers from the shallow end of the pool - identified by the star. We recommend keeping your swimmers in that area of the pool deck.
We will have full concessions available including pizza, cookies, chips, Fruit, soda, water and of course candy.
Our pool will close for members at 4:30, and your families are welcome to arrive after that time. Please let your families know that the pool is only available after 4:30.
MEET MANAGEMENT
Please note: our pool is a 8 lane pool. For main events, we (home team) will swim in lanes 3 and 5 and 7 and you (visiting team) will be in lanes 2 and 4 and 6. We will ideally swim all 8 lanes for other heats. We will be swimming the 6 & U age group in normal sequence and rotation with the other age groups (not swimming all 6 & U events at the beginning of the meet).
Home team warm-ups begin at 5:00 pm. Visiting team warm-ups begin at 5:30 pm. Swim meet officials and timers to meet at the pool entrance (close to the ping pong table) around 5:45PM. The meet will begin promptly at 6:00 pm.
We use stopwatches for timing, and this has served us well over the years. If you use a timing system like Dolphin, we do not have any problems with that. But, we cannot delay the meet start or in progress if your timing system has issues. I will provide your timers and Scottish Hills timers a sheet to record the times of the opposing teams swimmer in the event that a heat is collapsed and one team using the other teams lanes. Due to the size of our teams, and in an effort to end the meet at a reasonable time, it is vital that we be able to fill lanes for all heats.
Per TSA Rules, as the Home team, we will provide RUNNERS for the meet.
We do like to run a Parent and Coaches relay after completion of breaststroke (Make sure the meet is official) if you would like to join us. If there are weather issues, this event may be eliminated.
