Good afternoon, Sea Lions and Happy Mother's Day!

We are so excited to start practices this week! And by "this week" we mean NOT tomorrow. We are officially cancelling practice for Monday, May 12th. The weather is clearly not going to cooperate for us. Welcome to the joys of Spring Weather + Outdoor Sports = Always an adventure! We will play the rest of the week by ear and will send emails out the morning of practice as to whether is it still happening or if it is cancelled. It looks like by Thursday we'll be back to Summer temps, but we'll just have to wait and see what Spring has in store for us Tuesday and Wednesday! Stay tuned!!

For new families who aren't familiar yet with all things swim team, on Sunday afternoons or evenings we send out emails regarding information for the upcoming week. On Mondays, once the meets begin, we'll send out specific Meet Info emails. If we ever need to cancel practices due to inclement weather, etc. that communication is sent via email and text.

PRACTICE INFORMATION (NO PRACTICE MONDAY, MAY 12th)

4-5pm for 11 and ups

5-6pm for 7-10s

5:45-6:30pm for 6 and unders

All swimmers need to wear/bring the following to practice:

-tennis shoes and socks (for any dry land activities the coaches have planned)

-swim suit and goggles

-towel

-water bottle

Just a reminder that the pool is not officially open for member swimming, only for swim team practice. Parents and siblings are allowed on the pool deck, but only swim team swimmers (during their practice time) are allowed in the water until the pool opens for members.

Rising 6th Graders that are in the 11 and ups practice: We know it's a challenge for these swimmers to get to the 4pm practice on time due to when they get home from school. The coaches are aware we have a few of these swimmers, and it is ok to arrive a little late to this practice. Please do not stress about it. It's summer swim! We'll make it work. Remember, having fun is one of our priorities!

Our team swimsuits are available at Kiefer Aquatics. Just tell them you are with Scottish Hills, and they will know which suit is for us!

FOR NEW SWIM TEAM FAMILIES

We are so happy to welcome many new families to our Sea Lion family this season! We will have our New Parents Meeting under the back shelter on Friday, May 16th @ 6pm to answer any questions you all might have! We know it's a lot at first, but we are here to help any way we can! Please try to attend this session as it gives an opportunity to ask any questions you might have or hear others questions that might be helpful too!
