We'll have spirit wear for sale tonight between 5:30pm-7:00pm in the screened porch. We also have some families that have not yet picked up their swimmer's team shirt they receive for registering. If you have not gotten yours, please come get it tonight.
MEET DECLARATION
Thank you to all the parents that went in and signed their swimmers up for the meet. As always though, if there are any last-minute changes, please email us at [email protected] and [email protected] or find Ashley or Tami at the meet. If your swimmer needs to leave the meet unexpectedly, please let us know as this causes an issue for our relays if your swimmer listed to swim in a relay.
MEET THEME: NEON!
Dear Scottish Hills Sea Lions,
The Cary Swim Club Imps welcome you, your swimmers, and your families to the 6th TSA dual swim meet of the season on Tuesday, July 18th, at our pool! We look forward to a great meet and would like to share some logistics with you beforehand.
Location and Contact Information:
Our address is 808 Tanglewood Drive, which is on the corner of Walnut Street and Tanglewood Drive. The parking lot and pool entrance are accessible only from Tanglewood Drive. The phone number for the pool is 919-469-8084.
Parking and Facility Details:
- Parking is available on our premises as well as across the street at the church parking lot on Tanglewood Drive. We reserve our parking lot for the visiting team. Once our lot fills, please ask your families to use the yellow-striped parking spaces first in the church lot.
- Cary Swim Club has an 8 lane 25-yard pool.
- The visiting team congregates on the side of the pool immediately to the right as you enter the deck area. Your team is welcome to set up their chairs, canopies, etc. in this area. This includes the shelter and the grassy area near the back of the pool. Please DO NOT set up directly behind starting blocks as this is where swimmers will line up for Clerk of Course.
- The baby/toddler pool, volleyball court, and tennis/ multi-sport area are closed during the meet. We will be "roping off" the volleyball court but since it is not fully fenced off nor is this a lighted area, for safety reasons we ask parents to please be sure to keep your swimmers and siblings off the sand court.
Concessions
The concession stand will be open. We have pizza, hotdogs/hamburgers, barbecue sandwiches (sometimes), baked potatoes, pretzels, chips, candy, and Frozen Ice available for purchase. We ONLY accept cash. You may bring your own food and coolers. No glass is allowed on the pool deck. As per TSA regulations no alcohol may be brought in or consumed during a TSA event. Our facility is also a NO SMOKING facility, this includes the use of e-cigarettes, or vape devices.
Warmups
As the host team, we will warm up from 5:00 to 5:30. The pool will be available for your team to warm up from 5:30 to 6:00.
Pre-Meet Briefing
There will be a pre-meet briefing promptly at 5:45 pm on the grassy hill area just outside the main entrance to the pool. Kindly have all people officiating at the meet and yourselves in attendance at that time.
Parents/Coaches Relay!
If the meet is running on schedule, our coaches and parents are always ready for a little fun after completion of breaststroke. We wish to challenge your club’s parents and coaches to a relay race. The kids really enjoy this! Let us know if you have parents/coaches who’d like to participate. We often have at least 2 if not 3 relays from our parents/coaches.
