Good evening, Sea Lions! 

We made it through the first week of practice. Everyone did great! We know the first week is usually a little touch and go with schedules and weather. We loved seeing everyone this week and looking forward to another awesome week!

Practice Schedule for 5/22-5/26 (same as last week):

4-5pm for 11 and ups

5-6pm for 7-10s

5:45-6:30pm for 6 and unders

All swimmers need to wear/bring the following to practice:

-tennis shoes and socks (for any dry land activities the coaches have planned)

-swim suit and goggles

-towel

-water bottle (we want to make sure swimmers stay hydrated!)

Just a reminder that the pool is still not open for swimming yet during the week, with the exception of swim team practice times. Parents are allowed on the pool deck, but only the swim team is allowed in the water until the pool opens for members.

Silent Auction & Fundraising this season:

Our Silent Auction is still posted under the main shelter! Don't forget to check them out during practice and place some bids! We will accept bids until Memorial Day at 5pm! This year we are continuing our fundraising efforts towards replacing the sound system at the pool (speakers, electronics, etc.). It's quite the undertaking and will likely happen in stages. This year, we were able to purchase a new headset for our announcer at the home meets. No more being stuck in the back corner shelter. Our announcer will be able to walk around the pool deck talking to swimmers, etc. It's been a while since we've been able to do this, and we are excited to bring it back!

Birth Certificates - New Swimmers Only:

The deadline to submit a copy of each swimmer's birth certificate is June 10th. A birth certificate must be submitted before a swimmer can swim in a swim meet. Our first swim meet is June 13th. You can turn in a copy of your swimmer's certificate during practice, Time Trials on June 6th, or Make-Up Time Trials on June 10th.

Swimsuits:

Our team swimsuits are available at Kiefer Aquatics/All American Swim. Just tell them you are with Scottish Hills, and they will know which suit is for us!

Pasta Pump-Up Info:

Pasta Pump-Up is a potluck event we will have every Monday night before a meet, starting June 5th, throughout the season. This is a fun way to commune together and get pumped up for the upcoming meet. Everyone can use the sign-up link above to bring a dish (main, side, or dessert) to share, one large enough that it would feed your family. Main dishes are not limited to pasta. We will set all the food up under the covered deck area at the back of the pool. We'll eat around 6:30pm (after the 6 and under practice). Dinner usually wraps up about 7:15 in time for the swimmers to play some games in the back field with the coaches. Come on out and join the fun!

Sea Lion Olympics info:

This year we are shifting this event to earlier in the season vs the end of season. We'll have it in lieu of practice on Friday, June 9th. The games are from 5pm-6:30pm and take place in the fields behind the pool. It's not mandatory, but the kids have a ton of fun playing! Sign-up is above to participate and also, we need parent volunteers to help with the games. Afterwards, the pool is having a "School's Out Dance Party". It's going to be an awesome night!
