We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. For those of you filling in your 2023 calendar, here are our tentative dates for the summer swim season:

May 15: Afternoon Practices start (this date is always dependent on the pool inspection schedule and passing)

June 6: Time Trials

June 13, 20, 27 and July 5, 11, 18: Evening Swim Meets

WE ARE SEEKING SWIM COACHES FOR THE 2023 SEA LION SEASON

Do you enjoy working with kids? Are you looking to be the type of coach that inspired you when you were younger? Do you have experience in learning and teaching stroke techniques? 

We’re looking for candidates with a strong swimming background, sound communication and leadership skills, and a passion for working with kids. Coaching positions provide a wonderful job experience and look great on resumes because they demonstrate a strong work ethic and the capability to work with people of all ages.

Please share the following information with anyone you think will make a great coach or assistant coach at Scottish Hills. Remember, we are looking for all different levels of coaches, within and outside the Scottish Hills community, so please forward this email to anyone you think may be interested.

Swim Team Coach applicants must complete a “SHRC Staff Application” which is attached to this email. Swim Team applicants should email their completed application and resume (if one is available) to [email protected]. Applicable candidates for Head and Assistant coaches will be scheduled for interviews in mid-late February. We will reach out to all applicants to schedule interviews once the application deadline has passed.

The application deadline is February 10. 

Junior Coach applications may also be submitted at this time, however, the final deadline/interviews for these applications will be in March and we will send reminder emails closer to that time for those positions. If applying for a Junior Coach position, please indicate that on the application. In order to apply for a Junior Coach position, the applicant must be age 15 by June 1, 2023.

We are very much looking forward to kicking off this season and seeing new and familiar faces again!
