Monday Meet Memo 7-5
MEET INFO
We are swimmingaway at Sunset Ridge this week. We are competing virtually with Shepherd's Vineyard. The address for the pool is 215 Kingsport Drive Holly Springs, NC 27540. Swimmers should arrive around 5 pm. Warm Ups are scheduled for 5:30 pm. Please read the information below that was shared by Sunset Ridge and see the attached graphic. We are very thankful that Sunset Ridge has offered to host us this week and want to be respectful of their wishes!
Parking at our facility is extremely limited but there will be a small number of spaces available for the visiting team in our parking lot. Home swimmer parents are required to park off site, somewhere in the neighborhood. We have a designated swimmer dropoff area in front of the pool which is marked by cones. After the swimmers are dropped off, there will be parking available on the sides of the streets throughout the neighborhood.
Spectators and Seating We are NOT allowing parents to be on deck this year unless they are serving in a volunteer position. Parents of 6u and 7/8's may enter the pool deck to help their swimmers to the appropriate area and get settled but are then expected to leave the deck.
Parents/families may set up chairs, tents, etc. anywhere in our 2nd half of the parking lot (which is blocked off for that purpose), any grassy areas in front of the club house, the playground, the basketball court (down beyond the parking lot), as well as the grassy areas along Kingsport Road. On the aerial view, all areas where parents may set up chairs and tents are highlighted in PINK. Parents may watch their swimmers up in the "viewing area", highlighted in YELLOW. This is sidewalk area up along Middlecrest Road. NO CHAIRS or TENTS in this area. This is strictly a "flow in, flow out" area for viewing only, much like SHRC did last summer on the hill behind the diving well.
Swimmers are free to "flow in and out" of the pool deck area.
Concessions will be outside the pool gates (both our "in house concessions, including Johnny's pizza), Chicago J's Hot Dog truck, and Snoballs Snowcones.
